3 Ways to Stay Fit, Active, & Healthy in 2018

A new year is here, and for many of us, that means things are busier than ever. This season can be a wonderful time of renewed energy and new resolutions.
It can also be a time of disruption, especially if you’re trying to eat right and stay active. But with a little preparation, you can stay on track. Here are three important tips for staying healthy when you travel.
The first and most important step is to be prepared — to realize you’ll be out of your normal routine, and to set up some “guardrails” for yourself. Choose a hotel with a good fitness center and healthy eating options on location or close nearby.
Keep a Routine
When your circumstances change, it can be very easy to let your routine slip, too. But, as long as you plan ahead (see tip #1), there’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to keep up with your exercise routine when you’re away from home. Get creative, find a hotel that’s in a walkable neighborhood so you can stay active and explore, and try to stay as faithful as possible to your normal exercise habits, too.
