Legendary Pizza Comes to Frederick Hotel

Serafina’s pizza is delicious. And the story of how the pizza came to be?
Vittorio Assaf and Fabio Granato were lost at sea. Adrift in a small sail boat and wearing nothing but their bathing suits, the two men endured bitter cold, stormy weather, surging waves, and severe hunger pains.
As they floated alone in the endless expanse of ocean, Vittorio and Fabio did what anyone would do — they daydreamed about creating the perfect pizza. Fabio would construct the oven. Vittorio would build the pizza.
Back on land, their lives spared by mother nature, they set out to do just that. They would make the dream pizza a reality. And the Serafina partnership was born. That was 1995. Now, 29 locations later, they’re bringing the dream pizza to the Frederick Hotel.
Authentic Italian at Frederick Hotel
This is Vittorio and Fabio’s seventh location in New York, in addition to international locations in Dubai, Tokyo, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Rio De Janeiro, and more.
The Serafina TriBeCa menu includes a selection of homemade pastas, salads, and main dishes including a filet mignon burger with gorgonzola cheese and caramelized onions; filet of bass al pinot grigio wrapped in thin sliced potatoes on a bed of zucchini and leeks; and Serafina’s legendary Tartufo Nero pizza with hand selected Italian gourmet black truffles.
Brightly colored custom art from Pato Paez can be found throughout the space as well as a message of love displayed on the main dining room wall. Private event space is located below the restaurant’s main floor where guests have the option of an open event space or a 20-seat communal table, made in Italy.
