Year in Review: The Best of Triumph 2017
January 10 2018 | Triumph News
2017 was a big year for Triumph Hotels — we unveiled a new hotel experience in Tribeca, were proud to make the cut for some prestigious awards, and were honored to have some great restaurants and shops partner with us.
More importantly, we were able to host thousands of guests and help make their stay in New York City unforgettable — thank you, and we hope to see you again soon!
Here are some of the highlights, and here’s to even better things to come in 2018!
Where can you stay at the best hotels in the world? Right here in New York City according to the Readers' Choice Awards from Condé Nast Traveler. More than 300,000 travelers voted in Condé Nast’s 2017 survey, and The Iroquois ranked among the best hotel experiences available.
One of our biggest announcements of the year was The Frederick, the latest reinvention in the Triumph Hotel family. It’s a place that’s authentically NYC — your new home base in New York City’s most iconic, downtown neighborhood, Tribeca. First impressions came rolling in quickly — perhaps in part due to the legendary pizza from Serafina.
The Certificate of Excellence honors hotels that consistently receive outstanding traveler reviews on TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site. We were thrilled to announce that three Triumph hotels — The Iroquois New York, Hotel Belleclaire, and The Frederick — received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in 2017.
Located inside Hotel Belleclaire, the new Lush shop features a beautifully expanded location that includes reclaimed wood and vintage hardware. As always, you’ll feel right at home — Hotel Belleclaire guests can enjoy a personal skincare consultation with samples and complimentary hand and arm massages.
For the third year in a row, the wine list at Triomphe Restaurant — located at The Iroquois New York — earned the coveted Wine Spectator Award of Excellence thanks to the phenomenal palate of our Wine Director and Food & Beverage Manager, Eric Reyes.
Two recent additions to the Hotel Edison experience made a big impression in 2017. The Italian kitchen and bar Bond 45 was quick to gain notoriety from the New York Times, and Friedman’s made brunch at Hotel Edison a staple of the Times Square neighborhood.
For New York Fashion Week 2017, we partnered with fashion illustrator and Instagram sensation Laura Kay to offer free fashion sketches to Triumph Hotels guests and visitors. The events took place at all seven Triumph Hotels throughout the week and were a huge success. Press coverage included write-ups from Time Out New York, amNY, and InStyle. We were also excited to have fashion blogger Sheryl Luke stay at The Iroquois New York and record her thoughts about the experience on her blog.
Forbes Travel Guide awarded The Iroquois New York with Recommended luxury status as part of their Star Rating system. The Recommended rating is given when a hotel is defined as “an excellent property with consistently good service and facilities.”
So, as we say goodbye to 2017, we hope to say hello to you at any one of our six NYC hotels in 2018! Follow along here on the blog for the latest Triumph Hotel news.
